Black History Month: Roller Skating

For Black History Month, I looked into the rich history of roller skating. Roller rinks have been at the intersection of civil rights and activism for communities who fought against segregation and a right to be included, a place where DJs were able to get their start, and a safe haven for generations of skaters.

Also, did you know there are regional skating styles? Philly is known for fast backward!
